Oh For Joy! Payment In Progress!

Payment In Progress!

As you can see the "Payment In Progress" line has appeared! Oh for joy!

Now it's just a matter of time to see how long it will take before I get the payment! I remember reading somewhere here on the internet where some had said that Adsense waits until the banks are closed before they start the process of sending the payment to the banks (if you chose the EFT option). I noticed the "Payment In Progress" line on my account around 7:15 pm - Eastern Standard Time. I know that Adsense doesn't operate on the same time schedule as eastern standard time and it kind of gives me a headache trying to figure it out. According to my brain matter it would have been around 4pm Adsense time when they processed this.

I was so hoping to see the payment in progress line today (actually I was hoping to see it during the weekend!) but as most people have said the process doesn't usually start until Tuesday!

So I'm glad that I have the above picture! Hopefully its not a mirage!

Let's hear it for wishful thinking!

You Work Hard For Your Adsense Money!

Interesting post from the Adsense blog.

I especially like the part where they mentioned that they were getting nearer to the end of the month and that they know that people were anxiously awaiting their adsense checks.

I often wondered about the process that was involved in issuing the payments (to be more precise I wondered why it takes so long!!!!!!.

It seems that Adsense has to verify the amounts they issue before they actually send them out and that this process can take anywhere from a short amount of time to a long amount of time. It also brings up the issue of just how many Adsense publishers out there have to be processed by adsense every month?

Another good question that they answer is the question of whether or not one gets their payment faster if they chose the electronic transfer as opposed to getting a check sent to them. Adsense's answer is that the processing time is the same for both options but the electronic transfer is faster than a check going through the mail.

What's The Earliest Date That I Got An Adsense Payment?

Well a few days ago just out of curiousity I checked my adsense payments for the last year. Although my adsense payments averaged around the 24th of the month, I did notice that for November of last year my adsense payment was issued on December 20th. Now I checked back on my calendar and found out that date was on a Wednesday and for some reason I seem to remember getting that payment before Christmas - although I can't explain how.

Today is the 19th of the month and I'm sure that starting tommorrow the monthly mad frenzy of getting your adsense payment will begin!

Well My Adsense Payment For May 2007 Finally Came And.....

I went on a mini shopping spree! (I didn't spend all of it however). But here I am back now.

Since this isn't the end of June I still have a few more days to go before the month tally for June is complete.

A lot of you that are new to Adsense will probably do this kind of thing too - especially if you're anxious to get to that $100 mark that assures your Adsense payment. You will keep checking back to see how well you have done and how much further you have to go.

One thing I will say that this month my daily earning average has gone up a little and I suspect that the longer my pages have been up the more earnings I will get though it doesn't always work out that way. There is no sure fire way to predict how how your earnings will be affected. Your earnings may go up or down with no way of you possibly knowing how it happened. Even though there seem to be a lot of so-called Adsense experts out there no one can predict the future. So one of the best things that you can do is to remain true to your blog or website and provide very good content.

The Agony Is Almost Over!

I was never so happy to see such a line in my life!

After all the agony that I have felt and have poured out here in this blog I finally get to see the Adsense "Payment In Progress" line!

Now the only thing that I have to do is wait for the payment to show up on my account! Knowing what I do about these kinds of transactions I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

It can be a terrible thing waiting for your Adsense payment! In the last few days I have been surfing all around the Internet trying to find out if there was any news about the payment for May 2007's earnings. While I found no official reason from Google or Adsense, I did find some interesting information from other Adsense publishers - mainly the one coming from someone who mentioned some specifics about how Adsense processes and posts payments. And in this case he was entirely right!

I remember a while back that I posted in this blog about how I thought that I had seen that May 2007's payments were going to be finalized by June 10th? Well if you take a good look at the picture above a similar line has been posted for June 2007's earnings. If I was right in my assumption that May 2007's earnings were finalized by June 10th then wouldn't the payments be processed sooner and we would have gotten paid sooner?

So Now It's The 25th Of The Month!

and still no Adsense Payment! We're just getting off of the weekend and I thought for sure that I would at least see the "payment in progress" line on my account but it is not there!

It is just agony waiting for that adsense payment!

Here is a quote from Adsense:

Why am I paid on a different date each month?

Your Payment History page may show different dates each month for payments. All earnings are reviewed and audited before being processed, to ensure that publishers are paid correctly for their participation in the AdSense program. We process all qualified payments as quickly as possible within approximately 30 days of the end of the month. However, as the audit process may take longer for certain payment cycles, we cannot guarantee a set date each month on which your payments will be processed and sent.

Here is another related comment:

Usually about 7:00 pm eastern time (4:00 Pacific, just after the banks close) on Tuesday of the last week of the month.

"Payment In Progress"

"Payment In Progress" is the line that you are supposed to see in your Adsense account's "Payment History". As I have mentioned in other posts the payment date is usually around the 25th of the month.

Of course I am anxiously awaiting my payment and for some reason it seems that it is taking longer this month! Remember when I said that the payment usually comes around the 25th? Well of course I was hoping that it would be earlier because there have been times when I have gotten my Adsense payment before the 25th of the month. It is now the 23rd and it's also a Saturday. Tomorrow the 24th will be a Sunday and just in case you are curious I have never seen a "Payment In Progress" line on a weekend! So I guess that means that I will have to wait until Monday which is actually the 25th.

It is agony waiting for that Adsense payment!

Today is the 20th of the month

Normally you have until the 15th of each month to let Adsense know of any changes that you want to make to your account. If you wait until after the 15th of the month then your changes won't take effect until the next month.

I did a little checking with my payment information and I noticed that it (on the average) takes 9 days from the 15th of the month before you will see that "Payment in Progress" line on your payment information.

I have also noticed that as the months go by my payment date moves up a day or so. I'm wondering if this has to do with the number of adsense publishers and whether or not as those numbers decrease that the rest of us get "bumped" up in the payment date?

So here it is the 20th and according to my calculations I still have 4 more days before I see that "Payment in Progress" line

You Have Until The 15th of Each Month.....

You have until the 15th of each month (generally speaking) to let Adsense know of any changes that you want to make on your Google Adsense account. This includes changing the way you get paid and/or any address changes that have to be made. If you don't notify them of these changes before the 15th of each month (generally speaking) then it could take another 30 days before you receive your payment for the past month.

Now I say "generally speaking" because on Adsense's payment information page are some diagrams showing how and when the payments are processed. Your month's total earnings are processed the first week of the next month. Once they are tabulated then your account is checked to see if there are any "holds" on your Adsense account. If not then your account is cleared for the payment process to begin. Usually speaking the payment arrives somewhere around the 24th of the month. Now since this month the 24th falls on a Sunday that means the payment could be earlier (which is what I'm hoping)

or your payment could be later (which is what I'm not hoping)

Adsense Playing Tricks With My Mind?

Actually I think its my fault! I could have sworn that somewhere online I saw that Adsense was announcing that they would have all the totals calculated by June 10th, But now I can't remember where I saw that or if I really in fact did see it or was it just my mind playing tricks with me?

You see if Adsense finished their calculations for everybody by the 10th of this month then that means (hopefully) that we all would get paid like a week earlier than usual. (Usual Adsense payment date is around the 24th of the next month).

But since I haven't seen this information anywhere for a second time, I think I just made it up in my mind but what can you expect from someone who is anxious and ready for that Adsense money!

When Adsense Pays...

I know those that are new to Adsense want to know when they get paid. Here is the answer. Adsense gathers up all the data containing the information about all the "clicks" that your account has received. Since they do this monthly don't expect a check or bank transfer on the first of the next month! For example today is June 9th which means that the month of May's total clicks are over. I reached the minimum balance last month so I will be receiving a payment for the month of May but I won't be expecting that payment until somewhere around the 24th of this month!

Why does it take so long? Well to be quite honest I wondered that very same thing at the beginning only because I was sooooooo anxious to get that adsense payment. I'm assuming that it takes that amount of time because for one thing there are so many people (and businesses) using Adsense so that means that they have a lot of accounts to calculate and for all of the accounts that Adsense does have I'm impressed with the fact that they can make payments within 30 days (sometimes less).

So you will have to be patient in order to get that Adsense payment?

My First Adsense Check!

I was reading on another blog about someone who was talking about how it was when they got their first Adsense check and it made me think about the first time I got my first Adsense check. So here's my story about my first Adsense check.

I was so excited when I first joined Adsense. I was a little skeptical at first but the thing that finally made me decide to join Google's Adsense was because Google was behind it. I mean you get kind of nervous and wary when a website asks for certain information but the fact that it was Google made me go ahead with the decision to join Adsense. Well after I got over that nervous hurdle I had to make sure that my (first) blog was approved by them. (I was nervous about that too!) Well after I received approval the time came to get and add the codes which I did but it wasn't an easy process - probably because I was nervous! Well I added the codes and checked to see how they looked and then I wanted to blend the ads to match the layout of my blog and I got that done! Now it was time to check and see how many clicks I was getting. In hindsight I should have known that I wouldn't get any clicks in the first few seconds of having the Adsense ads on my blog but hey I was 'rarin to go!

To make a long story short I didn't make that first $100 the first month. The first month I made something like $50 and I was so disappointed now I had to wait to see what the next month would bring! So I was on pins and needles during the 2nd month. I only had to make $50 more to get a check for that 2nd month since I still had $50 from the first month. So I anxiously kept checking my clicks and slowly but surely I edged up to make enough to get my first Adsense check during my 2nd month! Ohhhh how good it felt to get that check! And oooooh how good it felt to SPEND it!
