"What Can I Do About Sabotaged Invalid Clicks?"

Unfortunately it has been posted about people that have tried to sabotage another person's adsense account by constantly clicking on the ads that appear on a person's site.

When you log on to your adsense account and you see any suspicious activity like a very high click-through-rate then you should report it to adsense as soon as possible. Here is a link to the site that has the form that you should fill out:

Adsense Contact Form

Once you fill out the contact form as best and as detailed as you can send it in. Adsense says that they will get back to you within an average of 24 hours but if they are experiencing a high volume of emails then it may take them longer. But the sooner you send in the form - the sooner Adsense will know about it.

So send in the form as soon as possible!

Clicking Your Own Ads? Accidents Do Happen

Adsense made a very interesting and useful comment in their blog. The title of the post is Accidents Happen.

Adsense says that they can understand the occassion "accident" when someone clicks on their own ad. Some of the publishers even notify Adsense when they accidently click on their own ads. If you have done this Adsense wants you to know that you contacting them is very much appreciated and they can understand the occassional accidental click. These accidental clicks will not be counted towards your earnings. However anything more than the occassional click will definitely rouse Adsense's suspicions!

So you want to keep your accidental clicks down to a minimum!

Adsense Cheaters..................

Of course it shouldn't be surprising that there are adsense "cheaters" around. Groups have been formed wherein members click on each other's adsense ads to generate more clicks thus creating more earnings.

Although I'm beginning to find more and more of these groups I can't condone participating in such groups. All Google's Adsense has to do is be notified of these groups, note the members (and this wouldn't be hard because the member list can be easily seen by almost everybody) and take the necessary action.

It's such a shame that there is a legitimate to make money using your blog or website and then something like this comes along and may possibly ruin it for those of us that adhere to the rules of Adsense.

Security Breach!

Adsense has to be very, very careful about their eagerness to help those people that are still trying to learn Adsense. There is an Adsense Blog, Adsense Question and Answer forums and even help information on Adsense's main page. Don't get me wrong though because Adsense provides a lot of resources to help people to better learn Adsense. But as I was surfing around and checking some related information I found a site of Adsense's that inadvertently let slip some information about one of the ways that they use to determine invalid Adsense clicks! Whoa! Do you know how valuable knowing this kind of information would be!

I don't think that Adsense is aware of it or they might not have given it another thought! But can you remember a time when you were just trying to be helpful and you let something "slip"?

Invalid clicks has been the most often cited reason why an Adsense account has been banned. Even though I have read the message forums where people have posted about their Adsense accounts being banned because of invalid clicks and them saying that they did nothing of the sort, I now know one of the ways that Adsense determines invalid clicks and I have to tell you that this method is a very good indicator that invalid clicks are being made.
