Client - Hamming It Up - Earned Their First Adsense Earnings Today!

My newest client, Hamming It Up received their first Adsense earnings today! Of course I won't reveal what that actually earning was - client priviledge and need their permission don't you know!

But here are some things that I will say though. It took about 5 days from the time that I added the adsense codes to the client's blog for them to get their first adsense earnings!

I most certainly have to toot my own horn for this! Toot, Toot!

It was always good to see that the cpm rate was over $50! This means that the keywords that were crawled on the client's blog brought in higher-paying keyword advertisers!

Another adsense millionaire in the making!

Are You New To Adsense? Need To Know More About Adsense?

Well the basic thing is first that you have to have a website or blog that is already on the Internet. If you don't have one already then you can get a free blog at blogger.com - blogger.com encourages you to add adsense to your blog so having adsense won't be a problem with blogger.com

You have to apply to adsense and your website or blog has to be approved by them first.

After you get approved then you can go through the steps to choose the size and color of your ads. You get the codes for the ads, copy and paste them to your site and when a visitor to your site clicks on the ads then you will get paid.
How much you get paid depends on the content of your site and which keywords the adsense spiders get when they crawl your site. There are ads that pays as little as $1 (some even less) and I have seen (and had on my site/blogs) rates of $1000! It's really hard to pinpoint just what will bring your site higher-paying keywords.

But the thing of it is is that most people advise that your site or blog serve a specific niche or theme or subject matter.

In order to get a payment from adsense you have to have earned at least $100. Since this is August 1st, I checked my earnings for the month and I made it! Which means that I at least earned the minimum of $100 in July 2007. The actual payment shouldn't be expected until around the 25th of the month (which just happens to be the weekend during August 2007 - so it may be later or it may be earlier). You can either get paid by regular check or by bank transfer.

So if you're really talking about earning enough adsense money to support your family you are going to have to first determine how much minimum per month you could support your family with.

Simply put the best way to make more money with adsense is to either increase the traffic that is coming to your site (so potentially more visitors will click on the ads) or you incorporate the higher-paying keywords into your site so that you will earn more per click.

While I have seen some say that they have made as much as $1000 per month, I'm thinking an average of maybe $500 a month is more acceptable. Mind you I say average!

The Computer Dude Is On Page One Of Google's Search Engine Results!

Since The Computer Dude is one of my clients, I checked where some of his traffic is coming from today.

Someone did a search for "computer dude" and my client's blog address came up on the first page of Google's search results! That's good for him and good for me because it lets me know that I am doing a good job as far as the client is concerned as far as optimizing his blog for the search engines!

I read somewhere that 50% of a site's traffic comes from the search engines so optimizing your website or blog for the search engines is a DEFINITE MUST if you want to optimize your site to earn as much as you can from adsense.

Don't Give Up On Your Blog!

I see a lot of posts from people who talk about how they have had their blog for a year and have yet to make at least the $100 minimum to get an adsense payment.

First let me tell you that I reached the $100 minimum earnings in my 2nd month! And this was before I started this blog!

Almost any blog (or website) can be worked to optimize it for more adsense earnings!

One of the best ways to optimize your blog (or website) for more adsense earnings is to think of your site as a learning manual. It almost doesn't matter what the subject matter is as long as there IS a subject matter. It is very important that your site have a theme or niche because that is one of the best ways to get the right kind of targeted advertising.

Take a look at one of my clients, The Computer Dude's Blog. If you take a look at the ads on the right you will see that the ads match the content of his blog. It may surprise you to know that one of the keywords that adsense crawled for on this blog resulted in a cpm rate of over $100!

You would think that a site that talks about computers would get a low advertising rate because there are so many other sites online about computers. But it all has to do with the kind of content that you put on your site. Now if this kind of stragedy can work for a blog about computers, you can apply these same stagedies to a blog about being a single woman, a blog about your life or even a blog about fishing - YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE THE RIGHT KIND OF CONTENT IF YOU WANT TO MAXIMIZE YOUR ADSENSE POTENTIAL AND MAXIMIZE YOUR ADSENSE EARNINGS!

Here is a link to a previous post about how much some people are making using adsense:

A List Of Blogger Earnings!

If you take a good look at this list you will see that there are many different types of blogs and many different kinds of sites that are earning a lot of money via their adsense earnings. And its not just big sites that are earning good adsense revenues. There are a lot of individuals that are earning $2K and more a month using adsense.

So you don't give up on your blog! For one thing your blog has already been established and it will take you more time to build up a new blog and optimize it for adsense. Secondly if you take a look at the list that was mentioned above you will see that all different kinds of sites and blogs have been able to earn good adsense money - why would you think that your blog couldn't do this too?

As long as your blog or website has a theme or niche it has a good adsense earning potential!

The Computer Dude Is On Page 1 Of Google's Search Results!

Imagine my surprise! I didn't think that The Computer Dude's blog would show up so soon!

How amazing (at least I think so) for a blog that is just a few months old!

Remember when I said in my last post that the next thing that I would have to work on for my client was to help increase his traffic? Well I think that this is a great start!

Here's An Interesting Poll - How Much Money Did You Make With Adsense Last Month?

I have added my comments to this poll but it's very interesting to see what others had to say.

Some have made less than $30 a month and some have made even more with their adsense.

It would be good if you clicked on the link just to see what others have been earning with their adsense - if for no other reason - just to compare what they have made with what you have made.

"My Pet Hamster"

I read someone saying that if you started a blog about your pet hamster that you could forget about being able to make money with adsense. I don't agree with that statement. First of all I have come to realize that almost anything is possible! Furthermore I also know that the pet industry is a billion dollar a year industry and that just goes to show you that people love their pets and are willing to spend a lot of money on their pets.

Now how does this relate to you and your blog about your pet? If you talk about your pet on your blog then you are going to get adsense ads about pets (if you word your content right). Putting up pictures of your pet also helps because people like to look at other people's pets. Others may even have "pet" blogs of their own and you and them can link to each other. Let people leave comments on your blog and you leave comments on other people's blogs.

Don't let people dictate to you what kind of blog you should have. The only real advice that should be followed is that your blog have a theme or niche. Having a blog about your pet hamster is a pet-related blog and falls under the heading of your blog having a theme. So don't let people tell you what kind of blog you can have.

You can have a money-making adsense blog about your pet hamster. You just have to know how to word the content of your blog so that you get higher paying advertisers!

Getting More Traffic To Your Site (or blog)

"How do I get more traffic to my site?" is an often asked question. First you should understand that you not only want more traffic to your site but you want the RIGHT kind of traffic to your site. If we're talking strictly getting more clicks on your site then you have to get more visitors who are interested in your site and what your site has to offer them. To put it more simply you have to define your target market. Your target market is the group of people that your site would most benefit.

Let's take my blog for example. My target market (or at least one of them anyway) are people that are new to adsense and want to know more about it. I want to educate them more about adsense and hopefully drum up some business for myself. As you can see from my counter that is at the bottom of this blog my traffic numbers are good and growing! I do no paid advertising and I work at getting more visitors to my site.

That is the same thing that you will have to do if you want to increase the number of visitors to your site who will (hopefully) click on the adsense ads.

Once people get a taste of earning that adsense money they start to do more and more to increase the number of visitors to their site. There are a lot of free things that you can do to increase the number of visitors to your site. In fact there are a lot of sites out there that have a lot of helpful tips for doing just that!

Getting more traffic to your site will require some effort on your part but just think of those added adsense rewards!

You Can't Predict Your Earnings Daily - It's Impossible!

I checked my Adsense earnings for yesterday (Saturday) and found that it was one of my highest earning days for June. However what's striking about this is that it wasn't one of my highest impression days. You would think that the more visitors to your site the more click-thrus and thus the more money you would make. Not so in this case.

Some of my cpm's were very high for that day. One was for over $400! I have had cpm's as high as $1,000 but not very often.

So it's really true what they say and that is for you to concentrate on the content of your website or blog as opposed to trying to get the highest paying keywords. I know its slower this way but it is for the best!

Well My Adsense Payment For May 2007 Finally Came And.....

I went on a mini shopping spree! (I didn't spend all of it however). But here I am back now.

Since this isn't the end of June I still have a few more days to go before the month tally for June is complete.

A lot of you that are new to Adsense will probably do this kind of thing too - especially if you're anxious to get to that $100 mark that assures your Adsense payment. You will keep checking back to see how well you have done and how much further you have to go.

One thing I will say that this month my daily earning average has gone up a little and I suspect that the longer my pages have been up the more earnings I will get though it doesn't always work out that way. There is no sure fire way to predict how how your earnings will be affected. Your earnings may go up or down with no way of you possibly knowing how it happened. Even though there seem to be a lot of so-called Adsense experts out there no one can predict the future. So one of the best things that you can do is to remain true to your blog or website and provide very good content.

Remain True To Your Blog!

I know that once you get a taste of that Adsense money coming in you may try to find a way to "speed it up". Thus the onslaught of blogs that don't have too much content but what they do have is minimum content and sometimes these sites look like they just have lines of text containing words that they think will bring in the bigger paying keyword phrases. So you get a lot of blogs (and websites) with a lot of gargled content on them.

I hope you resist the urge to do this. Some of the more successful Adsense publishers managed to earned a good deal of income while remaining true to the contents of their site(s) and you could do the same thing too! The most important part of this - I think - is having a theme to your blog. No matter how insignificant you think your subject matter might be there are probably a good number of Adsense advertisers that will appear on your site.

Remain true to your blog. If you add your content the right way you will increase both your traffic and your click through rates. There are a number of profession content providers out there and I am one of them. We provide content to your blog or site that will help increase your Adsense revenue by providing relevent content to your site. Say for instance you have a post that you are ready to add to your blog but you want to optimize it for better Adsense revenue - you can submit your posts to one of us professional content providers and your content will be re-worked to provide better optimization and still keep with the purpose of remaining true to your blog.

So many people have posted saying that the ads that show on their sites aren't relevent to the content of their sites and all that they have to do is re-word that content so that the ads that do show will be relevent to their site. It may seem hard at first but once you get the hang of it it will prove to be quite fun!

Click Through Rate

I'm striving for at least a 10% click through rate with my adsense ads. Sometimes I have gotten as high as 50% but 10% is what I want to at least average and I think that 10% is a good starting goal for those that are new to adsense.

That means for every 100 visitors to my pages at least 10 of them will click one of the ads.

I have got some surprising results such as one visitor clicking on more than 1 ad and then my stats showing that my click-through rate was more than 100%!

One thing that you're going to find out when you're looking at your adsense statistics is that you're likely to get different kinds of stats. For instance the Memorial Day weekend proved a little bit disappointing as far as my Adsense clicks went but there is no truth to the rumor that you won't get any visitors during a holiday weekend! On one of my pages I have this widget that says how many people are online and the number is something like 2 BILLION! That's a lot of people on the internet! And that is a lot of potential visitors to your website or blog!
